“And what is it to you if I have a fan? Hmm?”

“Mother.” Vitani rolled her eyes. “You are too theatrical. A fan is not good for you.” Or me, she thought. 

Zira sniffed softly, baring her teeth, “You stink of the Pridelands.”

“Calm down, mother.” Vitani said. “It’s because someone turned me in a filthy human and I had to stay in the Pridelands while I was one of those things.” She explained, disgusted. 

The lioness prowled around her daughter, her expression one of utter distaste, “Charming…”

“Oh, shut up.” Vitani said, annoyed. She glanced at her mother. “Anything new?” Vitani was trying to know if her mother knew about Kopa. She didn’t remember if he had told her either they had met again or not. 

Zira growled in warning, but otherwise let it slide. She stopped pacing and sat down, looking at Vitani, her eyes narrowed, “I heard that Kopa is back. But nothing more.”
